RV 101
There are a few things to keep in mind when traveling in a Travel Trailer. We have broken it up into a seven part video series to easily demonstrate how to correctly use your Travel Trailer. The idea behind taking your Travel Trailer is to enjoy your time and be as stress free as possible. After watching our Travel Trailer 101 videos you will be a pro camper making it possible to enjoy every second of your outings. We will instruct you on Hitching up your Travel Trailer, completing safety checks, towing your Travel Trailer, backing up, leveling, unhitching and finally setting up your Travel Trailer at your destination!
Part 1 (Hitching up)
Part 1 (Hitching up)
Hitching up will always be your first step in the Travel Trailer process. We first identify the different parts involved and their basic function.
- Tongue (This is the frame of the hitch)
- Tongue Jack (Responsible for lowering and raising tongue)
- Coupler (This where the ball of the truck attaches and is locked in)
- Ball (The attachment on your tow vehicle)
- 7 Way (The cord that plugs into your tow vehicle for safety lights)
- Breakaway Cables (Activate breaks on trailer)
At Giant Recreation World we try to offer our customers the best service even after the sale. We have put together some RV 101 videos to help with some common troubleshoots. These videos will make your experience so much more care free because you will become a pro. Camping and traveling are supposed to be enjoyed, and at Giant Recreation we are set on making this true for everyone!
